At Glasgow International School of English, we hope students leave with many new friends. We encourage gathering for social events, going out for lunch and dinner as well as trips to the cinema and theatre. Please check the school noticeboard for upcoming social events.

Travel Information

Train
Glasgow Central train station has train links to all major cities in the U.K. and is located a few metres from the school, approximately 1 minute walking distance. Queen Street train station with links to most major cities in Scotland and England, is located within a few hundred metres, approximately 10 minutes walking distance from the school. Underground
The closest underground station is St. Enoch's station, located a few hundred metres from the school, approximately 4 minutes walking distance. At peak times, trains run every 4 minutes, the cost of a single trip is £1.40, £2.60 for a return journey and £3.80 for unlimited one day travel.

Bus
Bus stops from several major bus routes in Glasgow are located directly outside the school. Buchanan Bus Station is located within 10 minutes walking distance of the school, with links to local and national bus services. Airport shuttle buses also run to Glasgow Airport from this station.

Taxi
Several taxi ranks are located within a few metres of the school. Black hackney cabs can be hailed on the street.
