IELTS Life Skills

IELTS Life Skills is for people who need to prove their English speaking and listening skills at Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) Levels A1, A2 or B1.

What’s in the test?

IELTS Life Skills is available at three levels:

IELTS Life Skills – A1 Speaking and Listening
IELTS Life Skills – A2 Speaking and Listening (offered in the UK only)
IELTS Life Skills – B1 Speaking and Listening.

Results for IELTS Life Skills tests

Test results are normally available within seven days of your test.
You will get one of two results:

  • Pass
  • Fail

A fail result means that you have not been successful and your test cannot be used for your visa application.

IELTS Life Skills – A1: is for the family route
• Family life as a partner of a settled person (spouse/partner)
• Family life as a parent (parent of a dependant)

IELTS Life Skills – A2: is for the family route (extension)
• Family life as a partner of a settled person (spouse/partner)
• Family life as a parent (parent of a dependant)

IELTS Life Skills – B1: Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR)
• Settlement/permanent residency

IELTS Life Skills – B1: British Citizenship
• Naturalisation

IELTS Life Skills Timetable

Minimum course booking is 1 week. A £30 registration fee is payable when booking this course; registration fee covers all course materials. The IELTS Life Skills examination fee is not included.

Classes run Tuesday and Wednesday from 11.30am to 4.00pm.  Lunch is 1pm to 2pm.
